OC is for friendly people., and this site is dedicated to preserving the OC way of life. Please support and speead that way of life by word of mougth, bumper stickers, clothing, etc. Let people know YOU are part of the attitude & vibe and that YOU support the way of life. Let the "newbs" know that Ocean City, MD is not just about the enormous ammenities and fun activities, it's about the people. OC people are not afraid to say "Hi" to starngers. Just walk the boardwalk in the evening when the crowds have subsided and see! We welcome conversation and invite you to join in, whether it be playing beach volleyball, or at the various sport courts and fields, or just hanging out and socializing on the boards. When staying at a hotel or condo, we meet and greet our "new" neighbors, and sometimes take away stories of commmon interests, maybe even staying connnected through social media once back home. And have you noticed how you rarely see people obsessed with their cell phone while at Ocean City? OC people embrace the "here-and-now" concept that is often lost in modern society. Go to the skate park, the basketball court, the boardwalk, or the beach, you won't find many social media obsessed people. Even kids and teens prefer to be engaged with activities with their friends and visitors ...not tweeting, updating their socia media, or texting all day long.

Nightlife on the "Boards"The boardwalk along the OC coast extends from the inlet parking lot to 27th street. Atmosphere on the boardwalk is carefree, invigorating, romantic, fun, hopeful, and energetic. Benches all along the boards offer relaxation and social time. -
Basketball & Skate ParkLocated between 3rd and 4th streets Bayside, this is one rad skate park! Next to the park is a couple basketball courts with outdoor bleachers, a great place to socialize while casually shooting around or engaging in a pickup game. Next door to the basketball court is a playground for small kids. And within the bayside blocks door there are sports fields where you can frequently find kids, teens, and adults playing touch football. Rarely do you see that anymore around our American suburbs ...but Ocean City is different ...better! -
Car Cruise Crowd & Other EventsWhile there are many car, truck, and motorcycle oriented events and shows at OC, the two perhaps most popular ones are the Spring & Fall car cruises/shows.
